The Titan Fitness 150 lbs stack home gym machine is quite similar to the Gold’s Gym XR 55 Gym Machine or the Weider 2980 X. It’s one of the most affordable home gyms that you can find at the moment, currently priced under $350. In case you’re wondering, the main reason it’s so inexpensive is that its weight plates are made of cement/vinyl and not cast iron. But nonetheless, it’s a well-made fitness machine and can offer the possibility to perform more than 35+ exercises.

Frame construction and parts

This Titan Fitness home gym has a frame made of durable steel tubing. All the steel parts in the frame construction feature a non-corrosive paint finish, black in color, this being the only color available for this machine (at least for the moment). The only exception is the weight stack guide bars, which feature a chrome finish.

When it comes to size, this weight stack machine isn’t very large compared to other models, such as the Marcy Diamond Elite, or the Powerline P2X. However, it does take some space especially lengthwise. Its assembled footprint is 70″L x 39″W (178 x 99 cm). But, in order to operate it safely and without any hindrance, it is recommended to keep at least two feet of clearance on each side of the machine, and at least three feet of clearance at the front, to allow a proper leg extension when using the leg developer station.

The machine’s height is when fully assembled, is 80″ (203 cm). This means it can fit in a room with a 7″ ceiling.

The fully assembled home gym is rather heavy, with a total weight of 232 lbs (~105 kg). This means it’s not really meant to be moved once assembled. This weight provides quite a bit of stability during exercises. It’s base bars don’t have holes for anchoring it to the floor, though. However, they do have durable PVC caps which improve its stability.

Like most other gym machines, this Titan Fitness model comes with heavy-duty nylon pulleys, with steel ball bearings. The cables are steel ropes with PVC sheets; they can withstand much higher weights than the 150 lbs stack of the machine.

The seat, backrest and curl pad feature thick and durable upholstery, made of vinyl material, in black and red colors. They integrate a 2″ (5 cm) layer of foam padding, designed to deliver optimal comfort. As opposed to other fitness machines in this category, the seat and backrest are non-adjustable. The curl pad has, however, several adjustment positions, offering an adjustment span of a few inches.

The leg developer and the fly bars feature thick foam rollers, providing excellent comfort for all the related exercises. Also, the fly bars offer multiple grips, allowing you to put a bit of diversity in your workouts.

Last but not least, there are three main accessories included with this home gym. One is the short bar for low pulley exercises; the second is an extension chain for the said bar; the third is the lat bar, which has standard dimensions, and curved grips.

Leg developer attachment – this workout station attaches to the low pulley and gives you access to exercises such as leg extensions. However, since the machine doesn’t have a long bench, you won’t be able to perform standard leg curls. So, basically, this attachment is mainly for leg extensions.

Curl pad attachment – this workout station speaks for itself. It gives you the possibility to perform bicep curls either with the short bar attached to the low pulley or with your own barbell. It has several adjustment positions.

Weight Resistance

The Titan Fitness 150 lb home gym machine comes with a vinyl weight stack. Differently put, its weight plates are made of concrete material and encased in a vinyl shell.
