The RHYTHM FUN Air02 is one of the treadmills released in 2022. In terms of features, it can be compared with RHYTHM FUN Mini-Change. However, it has an even slimmer deck and is compatible with multiple apps such as Zwift, FitShow, and Kinomap.

Frame construction
The RHYTHM FUN Air02 treadmill combines aluminum and steel parts in its construction. Most of the base frame and 
the two upright bars are made of aluminum alloy, but the unit also integrates a few steel parts. Also, the covers of the motor and several other small covers are made from a tough thermoplastic material.
The treadmill is not too large. Its footprint is approx. 56.3″L x 28.3″W (143 x 72 cm), so it should fit pretty well even into a small room or apartment. However, it still is recommended to allow at least a few feet of clearance at the rear of the running platform and on each side of it.
The two upright bars of the machine and the two handrails are foldable. The upright bars fold all the way down onto the deck while the handrails fold inward. If folded flat like this, the machine’s height is only approx. 5″ (13 cm), so if you have that much clearance under a couch or bed, you can definitely store it under it. The treadmill can also be stored vertically, leaning against a wall.
The machine isn’t too heavy but does weigh around 77 lbs (35 kg), so while packaged, it may require two persons for transport. However, once removed from its box, it can easily be moved by only one person as its front base frame is equipped with transport wheels.
Deck construction
First of all, the RHYTHM FUN Air02 treadmill does not have an incline system. Thus, you cannot adjust the 
angle of the deck in any way, and improvisations for this purpose are not recommended. It’s important to mention, though, that the machine’s walking platform is not perfectly horizontal. It is slightly higher at the front, so we can say that it is inclined by approx. 1.5°.
Although it’s a light and slim treadmill, it is equipped with a pretty sturdy deck. It is rated for a maximum user weight limit of 220 lbs (100 kg). Its side rails are made of extruded aluminum and they’re also pretty durable and flexible. They do not have rubberized covers as is the case for other treadmills.
The machine’s deck offers a running/jogging surface of approx. 47.2″L x 16.5″W (120L x 42W cm). Evidently, it’s not super large, but for walking and jogging, it should suffice for users up to at least 6’0″ (183 cm). Taller users may not benefit from a complete range of motion, especially if the machine is set to maximum speed.
The unit’s deck has several shock absorption elements. First of all, it has two large “silkworm” type stabilizers at the rear, similar to the OVICX Flex treadmill. There is another set of smaller shock absorbers at the mid-section of the deck. The walking platform integrates several other small cushions that are concealed by the side rails and the belt. Plus, the deck board itself is flexible and reduces some of the shock generated by your cadence.
The machine is equipped with a 7-layer tread belt which also reduces some of the running/walking impact. Its top layer is rubberized and textured in order to provide a better grip for all types of running shoes. The inner layers are meant to provide extra shock absorption, reduce vibration, and add structural sturdiness to the belt. And finally, the bottom layer is designed for a superior contact with the rollers.
Drive motor
The RHYTHM FUN is a motorized treadmill and requires a 110V external power source. It comes with a power
cord featuring a U.S. standard plug. The connector for the power cord is at the front of the deck, on the right side.
This RHYTHM FUN treadmill features a 2.5 HP peak power motor designed to provide a decent performance without overheating even if the user is close to the specified maximum weight limit. It is recommended, though, to let the machine rest for at least 10 minutes after every two hours of use.
The machine’s speed range is 0.8 km/h – 8.0 km/h, which in imperial units is approx. 0.5 MPH – 5.0 MPH. The speed adjustment increments are 0.1 km/h so you can easily adjust your pace when changing the speed. The machine does not have a conventional console with controls like most other treadmills. It is remote-controlled. The remote control only has gradual adjustment buttons. It does not have pre-set speed buttons.
The unit’s motor doesn’t generate too much noise. However, depending on your running technique, your weight, floor type, running equipment, and other factors, your cadence may generate more or less noise. This being said, people may hear you when using the treadmill, especially during a running routine. But as a general idea, the noise of the motor should not cover the sound of a TV set on a moderate volume level.
Display and other features
As we’ve mentioned above, the RHYTHM FUN Air02 treadmill does not have a conventional console like other
machines. The top section of the two upright bars only features a tablet holder which is also foldable. The machine’s display is incorporated into the front unit of the deck.
The unit is equipped with a LED display featuring four windows. It indicates time, distance, speed, and calories burned. It does not have a pace count function or a pulse reading function. Speed and distance are shown in km/h and kilometers, and you cannot change them to British imperial units (at least not on the machine).
The treadmill does not have pre-set workout programs or workout target settings. The included remote control only has power (ON/OFF) and gradual speed adjustment buttons. However, the machine has built-in Bluetooth. Therefore, you can sync it with your phone or tablet and use various apps.
The unit is compatible with three apps – Zwift, Kinomap, and FitShow. All these apps are available for both iOS and Android devices. Each app offers features like tracking your progress online, extra workout metrics, challenges, and even running on various virtual trails based on actual locations in the world. Also, if an app is paired with the machine, you will be able to control the speed of the belt from your phone, through the app.
Assembly and Maintenance
Since it’s a portable treadmill, the RHYTHM FUN Air02 comes pre-assembled. You only need to remove it from the box, unfold it, secure the upright bars in usage position, and plug it in. This shouldn’t take more than 15 minutes. The manual provides clear instructions for the task and a tool for adjusting the belt if necessary is included.
For maintenance, it is recommended to keep the machine clean, especially the belt, to prevent any dirt or textile fibers from being caught in the motor or into the rollers. The belt requires periodic lubrication and a bottle of lubricant is included.
