As opposed to the other available models, such as the UREVO URTM003, or UREVO UR9TM0010, this particular model has an automatic incline system, more workout programs, and a larger console with multiple extra features.

Frame construction
Like most other treadmills, the UREVO URTM004 is built on a steel frame but also integrates several parts made from thermoplastic material. For example, the console dashboard, the side rail covers, and the front motor cover are the most notable plastic parts. They’re pretty durable, though, so they won’t chip away from the machine’s overall sturdiness.
The unit’s frame combines oval and rectangular tubes for improved sturdiness. They’re all double-coated with a rust-resistant and abrasion-resistant paint finish. The main color used is black with the UREVO logo in orange. These are the only colors available for this treadmill, at least for the moment.
The machine isn’t super heavy but does weigh approx. 135 lbs (61 kg). This being said, the packaged unit requires two people for transport. However, once it is assembled, the machine is fairly easy to relocate as its front base frame integrates a set of transport wheels. The rear stabilizers also rest on wheels.
This UREVO treadmill isn’t too large either. When fully set up, it is approx. 60″ (152 cm) long, and 29″ (74 cm) wide. It is recommended, though, to assign a usage area for it with at least three feet of clearance at the rear, and at least two feet of clearance on each side and at the front, for ease of access and unhindered usage.
The URTM004 treadmill is also foldable. It has a soft-drop hydraulic cylinder which enables the deck to lower slowly when it is unfolded. With the deck folded up, the unit’s dimensions are approx. 45″L x 29″W x 46.5″H (114 x 74 x 118 cm).
Incline system and deck construction
The UREVO URTM004 treadmill is equipped with a motorized incline system. This means you can adjust the incline from the console and the console can also adjust the incline itself, depending on the program in use. The incline system consists of a small motor, different from the drive motor, and a small lift, placed under the front side of the deck. Therefore, when the incline is adjusted, the motor enables the lift to slowly raise the front part of the deck.
The treadmill offers a standard 0% – 15% incline range. The incline increments are 1%. There are controls on the console for gradual incline adjustment, but also for quick 3%, 6%, and 9% incline adjustment. It’s important to mention, though, that with the incline at 0%, the deck is not completely horizontal. It is slanted by approx. 1°.
This UREVO treadmill offers a running surface of 48.4″L x 17.7″W (123 x 45 cm). Is definitely not as large as the running area of a commercial treadmill but should accommodate users up to 6’2″ (188 cm) with no problem, allowing a complete range of motion.
The treadmill has a maximum user weight limit of 265 lbs (120 kg) which is not bad for a home-use machine. The deck is equipped with a set of shock absorption elements; some of them are visible at the front of the deck, others are concealed by the side rail covers. The deckboard has a bit of flex as well, and the belt is a 7-layer one, so they also add to the overall shock absorption of the running platform. This being said, a walk or run on this machine is considerably safer for your joints than a walk or run on asphalt or concrete.
The deck step-up height is approx. 6″ (15 cm). Also, with the incline all the way up, the front of the deck gains several extra inches. Thus, it is recommended to use this treadmill in a room with a ceiling that is at least 15″ (38 cm) higher than the height of the tallest user.
Motor
The UREVO URTM004 is an electric treadmill. Therefore, it integrates an electric motor. It’s not a super-powerful motor, but at 3.0 HP peak power, it should suffice for most users. It is designed to withstand prolonged running sessions without overheating or losing performance. It also integrates a small flywheel which is meant to reduce vibration and improve motion stability.
Naturally, since it’s an electric appliance, it comes with a power cord. The plug at the end of the cable is a US standard 3-prong plug and requires to be connected to an external power source.
The motor offers a speed range between 0.5 MPH and 9.6 MPH. The speed is shown in miles per hour and there is no option to set it to kilometers per hour. When adjusting the speed manually from the +/- controls on the console the increments are 0.5 MPH. If you press and hold the + button to increase speed, it will go up to 9.5 MPH in increments of 0.5 MPH, while the last increase pushes the speed to 9.6 MPH. The machine only adjusts the speed in 0.1 MPH increments if you are using one of the pre-set workout programs.
Just like for the incline, the console has controls for gradual speed adjustment and quick speed adjustment. The quick speed adjustment controls offer the possibility to select 3 MPH, 6 MPH, and 9 MPH at the press of a button, without having to press and hold the +/- buttons.
The motor itself is pretty quiet; it does not generate too much noise even if the machine is set to its highest speed. However, the noise generated by the machine during usage depends on various factors, such as your footwear, running technique, weight, floor type, etc.
Console
The UREVO URTM004 treadmill is equipped with a multi-function console. To begin with, it features a 5-inch LCD display with blue LED backlight. It tracks time, speed, distance, calories, and pulse. Speed and distance are shown in MPH and miles; there is no option for setting them to metric units. The console is not telemetric. It does not work with any wireless transmitter like the Polar ones. It can only track your pulse if you hold on to the integrated sensors.
The console unit has 18 workout programs. The 12 pre-set ones have their segment layout engraved on the console dashboard. You’ll find interval programs, programs for burning calories, and programs for muscle toning among them. You can select the desired program from the Prog. button.
The console also has a Mode button which offers the possibility to create workout goals for time, distance, and calories. If a goal is selected, the console will count down from the selected value until it reaches zero.
The machine’s console does not have online connectivity and it is not compatible with any fitness apps. However, it is equipped with a set of Bluetooth speakers which you can sync with your phone in order to play your music through the console. The other two notable console features are the device holder which consists of a small edge under the controls and two bottles/accessory trays.
Assembly and Maintenance
This UREVO treadmill comes almost completely assembled. All you have to do is remove it from the box, unfold it, secure the two upright bars and the console in the correct positions, and plug the machine in. The manual provides clear assembly instructions and all the tools required for it are included.
For maintenance, the belt requires periodic lubrication. The console will show an error message (specified in the manual) when lubrication is needed. A bottle of lubricant is included. Other than lubrication, it is also important to keep the machine clean and periodically check for loose bolts and parts.
