If you’re looking for an indoor cycling bike with an excellent price/quality ratio, Sunny Pro SF-B901 is definitely one to put on your checklist. Although this exercise bike has been around for about two years now, so far it benefits from a lot of positivity. It’s a heavy-duty piece of equipment, a spin bike made for anyone who wants to sweat a lot and burn those unwanted calories.
It’s an extremely easy to assemble and use indoor exercise cycle trainer, suited for users of all levels, beginner or pro. Like most indoor cycling bikes, the user experience resembles almost perfectly the use of a real speed bike. However, you won’t have to battle the inconveniences of bad weather, working out from the comfort of your home.
When it comes to specs, comfort, performance, and durability, there’s a lot to be said about this Sunny Pro model. This post should provide you with every bit of information you require, and answer all of your questions regarding this stationary bike.

Like most indoor cycling bikes, the SF-B901 offers the highest intensity workout possibilities that can be achieved on a stationary bike. The flywheel is quite heavy, enhancing the bike’s stability, and rendering the workout pretty smoothly. The brakes are direct-contact type, featuring two brake pads which close laterally on the flywheel.
There are no specified tension levels on the resistance mechanism of the bike. Resistance is adjusted onto the brake pads from nearly no resistance, up to the impossibility to pedal. Resistance modification is done manually, but you can do this while pedaling. Therefore, even if there aren’t any “clicks” on the adjustment knob, you will know when the setting is just right for your training.
The handlebar is vertically adjustable, and generously padded with foam, offering a good grip even when your hands are sweaty. The design of the handlebar offers various holding possibilities. For example, you can adopt a forward, steep leaning position, or you can workout in a nearly complete upright position.
The seat is also adjustable. Can be moved from back to front, and also vertically. It can actually accommodate users beginning with at 5′ (152cm) and up to 6’5″ (195 cm) tall. On its lowest setting, the distance between the seat and the lowest to the floor pedal, is 32.5″ (cca 82 cm).
Pedals are anti-slip, and come with straps which help fix your feet in place. They’re sturdy enough to allow stand-up training even for heavier users.
The frame of the bike is steel-made, very sturdy, offering superior stability when working out. Even if you’re a taller, or heavier user, you shouldn’t have to worry about falling or losing balance. Since it’s not a particularly light piece of equipment, it does come with transport wheels on the frame’s front base.
The bike isn’t extremely sizeable. I has only 48.5″ in length and 20″ in width. Therefore it should fit into almost any room, unless you’re not really, really tight on space.
Comfort and Ease of Use
Like most indoor cycling bikes, this Sunny bike focuses on training intensity, rather than comfort. In terms of comfort, we can say that it’s as comfortable as any other spinning bike can be. It won’t offer you the comfort of an upright or recumbent bike, but on the other hand, it will provide you with a superior training.
When it comes to its ease of use, there’s nothing much to be said. Once assembled, all you have to do is mount it and start pedaling. The intensity levels are easy to adjust, even while your workout is in progress. The adjusting of the handlebar and seat is also pretty easy, all you have to do is turn a knob and get them into the desired position.
Assembly and Maintenance
The assembly of this Sunny Health and Fitness bike is far from being difficult. Some of the parts are already assembled together. For example, the flywheel is already attached to the frame, with the chain and the crank arms connected. For transport, the bike is mounted on narrow bases which need to be removed and replaced with the bike’s standard bases. Both front and back base, have adjustable feet for leveling, already mounted in place. Also, the front base has the transport wheels attached.
All you need to actually put in place, are the the posts for the seat and handlebar, the seat and handlebar themselves, the bases of the bike and the pedals. This shouldn’t take more than 30 minutes. Also, the box includes the tools you need for the assembly task, and the instructions manual.
In terms of maintenance, the Sunny SF-B901 does not require much. The brake pads are built to last, and even with a few hours of daily use, they should last for at least a few years. If the brakes begin to emit squeaky noises, all you have to do is apply powder graphite to the brakes, or silicone spray. Or, if they’re worn out, replacement may be required. If the chain becomes squeaky, spraying a bit of grease on it should do.
Clearly, the main strenght of this Sunny Pro indoor cycle is its amazing price / quality ratio. On top of that, it’s a very solid exercise bike, very stable and durable. With proper maintenance, this bike can last a lifetime. It’s also easy to assemble, use and maintain.
It’s very quiet. While you’re working out, you won’t be hearing more than the soft whirring noise of the chain. Compared to other exercise bikes, this model doesn’t occupy that much space. Even though it’s not foldable, it should fit without a problem even in a smaller room.
Needless to say, it serves its purpose one hundred percent. It’s a high-intensity training bike, which can help you burn up to 1,000 calories per session. It’s excellent for cardio workouts, the tonification of leg and core muscles, or simply to use in a variety of exercising programs.
In terms of negative aspects, there really isn’t much to say about this bike. Nonetheless though, we can mention the lack of bottle holder and water bottle. Also, the Sunny Health & Fitness Pro indoor cycling bike does not include a bike computer. The lack of this feature though, is one of the main reasons this bike comes for such an afforable price. Nonetheless, you can always attach a device to track your progress to this bike later, in case you really need it. There are many models to choose from.
Sunny Pro SF-B901 is a very simple and effective indoor cycling bike. Does not come with ultra-sophisticated or luxurious features, but it does come for a very inexpensive price for a heavy-action bike. It has a very strong build which makes available a wide array of exercising postures, even in standing position, engaging multiple groups of muscles. It’s ideal for anyone who wants to lose weight, tone lower body and leg muscles, keep in shape, or undergo cardio training. All in all, it’s one of the finest stationary bike that you can find.
