Overall construction
The first aspect to be mentioned here is the fact that these Starring dumbbells come as a set. You will receive 2 bars, 2 collars, 20 weight plates of different weights, and the plastic, safety trays. We’ll comment the weights of the plates in the “adjustment increments” section, below.
The Starring adjustable dumbbells feature classic cast iron weight plates, with a nice chrome finish. This is quite a plus, as the finish won’t come off and stain your clothes or your hands as you change the plates, such as the paint on various other weight plates. The chrome finish is actually long lasting. It shouldn’t chip or peel off, unless you drop the weights repeatedly on a hard surface such as concrete or asphalt.
