Frame construction
The Soozier A91-132 features a steel frame made mostly of rectangular tubing. All the steel tubes are coated with a chip-resistant and corrosion-resistant paint finish. The color used is black, with the exception of the two upright weight stack guide rods which are chrome-plated. These are the only colors available for this home gym system, at least for the moment.
As we’ve mentioned above, the A91-132 features a slightly different frame construction than the A91-043. Its median base bar is slanted with its front above the floor and one of the base pulleys is actually underneath it. This is meant to increase the load ratio for the low pulley.
The machine is not super large, compared with other home gym systems, like the Marcy Smith Machine SM-4033, for example. It is only 58.25″ (148 cm) long, and 42.5″ (108 cm) wide. Its highest point is 81.5″ (207 cm) above the floor level; this being said, it should fit in a room with a 7-foot ceiling. It is recommended, though, to allow at least two feet of clearance on each side of the unit, at least one foot of clearance at the rear, and at least three feet of clearance at the front. This way, you should be able to execute all the exercises correctly and adjust the weight with ease.
Since it’s a home gym with a weight stack included, it is pretty heavy. Its net weight is approx. 175 lbs (80 kg). Therefore, once it is assembled, it is not too easy to move. Also, its rear base bar features rubberized caps, but the front base doesn’t. So, it is recommended to place and use this home gym on a rubber mat.
Parts and accessories
The Soozier A91-132 home gym is equipped with a non-adjustable seat. It is approx. 14″ (35.5 cm) wide so it provides plenty of contact surface. Needless to say, the backrest is larger; its dimensions are 26.75″L x 10.75″W (68 x 27 cm). Both the seat pad and the backrest pad integrate a layer of approx. 1.5″ (3.8 cm) of foam cushioning. Their covers are made of durable vinyl material which is sweatproof and easy to maintain. The preacher pad features the same cushioning and vinyl cover.
The machine’s front press and the leg developer attachment are equipped with thick foam rollers. The leg attachment rollers are approx. 3″ (7.5 cm) thick, while the ones on the press are around 6″ (16 cm) in diameter. They do not have vinyl covers like the seat and backrest. Also, the grips of the front press feature PVC foam sleeves for improved contact.
The machine integrates 13 pulleys made of durable nylon material. They integrate ball bearings for a smooth motion. The cables are steel-made and have PVC sleeves to prevent the scratching of the pulleys. The exact tensile strength of the cables is not specified, but they should be able to support way more than the weight of the included stack.
In terms of accessories, the A91-132 Soozier home gym includes a lat bar, a short bar, and an extension chain. Ankle cuff, D-handles, or ab crunch strap are not included.
Workout stations and attachments
The Soozier A91-132 home gym offers three main workout stations and two notable attachments. These are:
High pulley station. This workout station features only one pulley; it offers the possibility to execute lat pulldown exercises, ab crunches, triceps press downs, and others. As we’ve mentioned above, an ab crunch harness accessory is not included, though. However, the lat pull-down bar is included. It is a pretty standard bar with curved grips. It is approx. 38″ (96.5 cm).
Front press / Fly station. The front press of the machine offers double functionality. On the one hand, it fulfills the role of a front press. It has a double-grip design offering the possibility to adopt a standard wide grip or a parallel grip. The two arms also allow the execution of pec fly exercises with a range of motion of 0° – 90°.
Low pulley station. The unit’s low pulley can be used for a variety of exercises. For example, you can attach the short bar to it and perform bicep curls, seated rows, or standing rows. The short bar for curls and rows is included; an ankle cuff is not included, though.
Leg developer. This attachment connects to the low pulley. It features a set of four foam rollers for improved comfort. It offers the possibility to execute leg extensions and standing one-leg curls.
Preacher pad. This attachment connects to the front tube of the machine. Its post has several height adjustment positions. The pad itself integrates a layer of 1.5″ (3.8 cm) of cushioning. Its exact weight limit is not specified.
Weight Resistance
The Soozier A91-132 home gym is equipped with a weight stack consisting of polyurethane plates filled with an iron sand mixture. This is one of the reasons it is considerably more affordable than other home gyms with a cast iron stack. The weight plates are pretty durable, though, and considering that this is a home gym, not a commercial machine, they won’t take as much abuse as a unit in a commercial facility.
The weight stack consists of 9 weight plates plus the top selector plate. Each plate weighs approx. 10 lbs (4.5 kg) while the top plate weighs 8 lbs (3.6 kg). Therefore, the weight of the whole stack is 98 lbs (44.4 kg).
The machine’s weight stack can be upgraded, but Soozier does not sell additional plates. As we’ve mentioned above, the unit’s cables should be able to support much more weight than the included stack. The weight selection system is pretty standard featuring a pull-pin that you can insert into the desired plate.
Last but not least, the machine’s weight ratios are not specified. But as a general idea, each workout station should provide more weight resistance than the actual stack if all the weight plates are selected, due to the multiple pulley system.

The Soozier A91-132 home gym offers the possibility to execute more than 20 exercises. The list includes:

Assembly and Maintenance

The manual provides clear assembly instructions and schematics. Tools for assembly are not included. You will need adjustable wrenches, a Phillips screwdriver, and a rubber mallet.
Maintenance doesn’t require much, once the unit is assembled. The pulleys and the guide rods of the weight stack may need periodic lubrication. If lubricated during the assembly, the pulleys may not require further lubrication for a long time.
