It’s definitely a machine made for running not just for walking or jogging. In terms of features, it can be compared to the XTERRA TR150.

Frame and deck
The Exerpeutic TF3000 features a steel frame coated with a corrosion-resistant paint finish, gray in color, this being the only color available for this machine. Of course, its construction also integrates several ABS parts. For example, the dashboard that incorporates the console, the side rails, and a few other small covers are made of durable plastic material. The side rails also integrate a rubber band to prevent foot slippage.
The Exerpeutic TF3000 is not extremely large compared to other treadmills, such as the Bowflex BXT116, for example. However, it still takes approx. 62″L x 29.5″W (150 x 75 cm) of floor space. Plus, just as for any other treadmill, it is recommended to leave at least a few feet of clearance at the rear of the deck and on each side.
On the other hand, the machine’s deck is foldable. It can be folded up, and the folding mechanism involves a hydraulic element. This feature provides assistance when unfolding the deck, slowly lowering it to the floor. With the deck folded up, the length of the unit is reduced to 38.5″ (98 cm).
Although it can be classified as a light-capacity treadmill, it is fairly heavy. When fully set up, it weighs approx. 129 lbs (58.5 kg). All this weight provides an excellent stability during running. However, the metallic base of the frame is equipped with transport wheels. So, when the machine is folded, you can easily use the wheels to relocate it, if needed.
The deck of this Exerpeutic treadmill offers a weight capacity of 250 lbs (113 kg), which is not too bad for a home use machine. Its running platform is 51″L x 17″W (129 x 43 cm). This being said, the unit can provide enough running surface for users up to 6’0″, promoting a natural stride for users of this height.
Last but not least, the deck is equipped with several shock absorption elements. It has 8 concealed cylindrical rubber cushions and four visible larger cushions. The internal cushions alleviate the shock generated by each one of your footstrikes, while the four external cushions reduce the overall vibration. This being said, the machine provides a pretty comfortable ride, minimizing impact.
Incline and step-up height
The Exerpeutic TF3000 features an incline system with manual action. This means you cannot adjust the incline from the console, and the machine does not auto-adjust the incline of the deck while your run. Also, in order to adjust the incline, you have to step off the machine.
The unit’s incline system is similar to the one on the Exerpeutic TF1000. It consists of an adjustable rear stabilizer bar which offers two positions. When extended all the way to the back, the deck is at approx. 3% incline. Conversely, if you fold the stabilizer under the deck, you will obtain approx. 6% incline. Of course, this is not exactly the 20%-30% incline that other more expensive machines offer, but still, when running at 7-8 MPH, even the slightest incline can considerably increase the overall difficulty of the run. The deck cannot be set at an exact 0% incline, without some improvisation, which is not recommended.
The step-up height of the deck is approx. 9″ (23 cm). This being said, it is recommended to use the treadmill in a room with a ceiling that it at least 15″ (38 cm) higher than your own height.
Motor
The Exerpeutic TF3000 is equipped with a 2.0 HP peak power motor. It’s not an extremely powerful motor but does provide enough duty to allow sustained running or jogging sessions.
The motor integrates a small flywheel. This element reduces belt vibration and offers extra smoothness to the ride.
The motor’s speed range is 0.4 and 8.0 MPH. The starting speed of the belt is 0.4 MPH, but up from there, you can adjust the speed in increments of 0.1 MPH. Therefore, you can easily adjust your pace, or find the most comfortable speed for your personal stride.
The console offers controls for gradual and quick speed adjustments. The quick selection speed buttons are for 2, 3, 4, 6, 7 and 8 MPH. Gradual speed controls are also integrated into the right handlebar of the machine, while the left handlebar has Start/Stop buttons.
Console
This Exerpeutic treadmill features a mid-range console with a 5″ LCD display that has integrated LED backlight for superior visibility. Its display is divided into multiple sub-sections in order to show all the workout metrics at once, so you don’t have to use a scan function to rotate them. The display indicates time, distance, speed, calories, and pulse.
For distance and speed, only English units (miles, MPH) are available. Also, the console can only read your pulse through the metallic sensors integrated into the side grips of the unit. It is not telemetric and does not work with Polar or ANT wireless HR transmitters.
The console has 12 pre-set workout programs. Each program has its own specific. The list includes Warm Up, 5k Run, Weight Loss, Hill, Mountain, Cross Country, or Random. The default time of each program is set to 30 minutes, but you can always change shit. On top of that, the console offers 3 workout goal options for time, distance and calories. So, at the beginning of your workout, you can set a target for any of these, and the console will display the remaining value until you reach your selected goal.
The console also has Bluetooth connectivity. You can sync it with your phone or tablet, and via the free MyFitQuest7 app you can keep track of your progress online.
There are several other features available on the console of this TF3000 treadmill. To begin with, it has sound system which consists of two speakers, one on each side of the keypad. There is an audio jack input to which you can connect your smartphone or tablet to listen to your music during workouts. A USB port and a SD card slot are also available. The console can play music either from a USB flash drive or a SD card. Also, the USB port can serve as a charging port for your phone or tablet.
Last but not least, the console also integrates a tablet holder and two accessory trays.
Assembly and Maintenance
The treadmill comes fully assembled and in folded position. All you have to do for its setup is unfold the front section with the upright masts and console, and lock it in position via several bolts. This shouldn’t take longer than 10-20 minutes. The manual provides all the guidance for the procedure. Plus, a basic toolkit and a silicone bottle for lubricating the deck are included.
For maintenance, lubricating the deck periodically is required. The manual instructs you on how to properly do this. Also, it’s recommended to keep the belt clean, periodically check for loose bolts, and adjust the belt tightness if necessary.
