The Efitment E020 is a glider elliptical trainer or an “air walker” trainer. It does not have a built-in resistance system but offers a free and wider range of motion than the regular ellipticals. It does include, though, a basic fitness meter. In terms of design and features, it can be compared to the ProGear Dual Action 360 Air Walker.

Frame and parts
The Efitment E020 features a steel frame with a fairly sturdy construction and a small footprint. With all the parts assembled, it is approx. 35″ (89 cm) long, and 22″ (56 cm) wide, while its highest point reaches approx. 54.5″ (138 cm) above floor level.
The frame can also fold. The two front and rear base stabilizers can be brought close together, while the pedals can fold up, in order to reduce the unit’s length by approx. half.
The fully assembled unit is also very light. It weighs approx. 39.5 lbs (18 kg) which pretty much means that it can be transported and assembled by only one person. Plus, its front base features a set of small wheels which facilitate the relocation of the fully assembled unit.
The rear base is curved in order to provide more contact surface. The ends of the curved base tube are equipped with polygonal stabilizers. These can be rotated in order to give you the possibility to level the unit on an irregular floor. It is recommended, though, to place and use the glider on a rubber mat or carpet.
The Efitment E020 Air Walker features a set of large pedals. They’re made of heavy-duty ABS material and attached to steel tubes, similar to the rest of the frame. They are rated for a user weight capacity of 220 lbs (100 kg).
The pedals do not integrate any extra cushioning or internal articulation. They also don’t have any adjustment settings. Their surface is textured in order to provide superior foot adherence during exercising. Also, their inner and front sides have foot guards to provide extra foot stability.
In terms of handlebars, the unit has two sets, one mobile, and one fixed. The mobile arms are directly connected to the pedals bars and will move for as long as you move your legs and feet. They have rubberized grips and ball-point grips at the top. The stationary handlebar features two short grips placed right in front of the user. None of the handlebars have any pulse sensors and the console unit cannot track your pulse.
One last aspect to mention here regards the unit’s paint finish. All the steel parts in its construction are powder coated with a durable paint, resistant to corrosion. The color used is gray, this being the only color available for this Efitment elliptical.
Stride and range of motion
Since it’s an air walker or glider, the Efitment E020 offers a longer and wider range of motion than most elliptical trainers with an incorporated resistance system, such as the Schwinn 411, or the Sunny SF-E3862. Its maximum stride is 24″ (61 cm), which means it can accommodate users up to 6’2″ – 6’3″ (187 – 190 cm) with no problem, as long as they do not exceed the specified 220 lbs (100 kg) weight capacity.
The unit’s elliptical path is horizontal. You can change its angle slightly if you change your posture. However, since the machine is not extremely heavy, this is not recommended as you can lose balance. The unit is intended for a straight posture.
As opposed to other gliders, such as the Gazelle Supreme, for example, this Efitment model permits side-to-side movement and a 180° free-motion for each pedal. Your legs are not restricted only to the front-to-back movement; you can basically perform a full rotation with each leg, and each workout delivers much more freedom of motion. Therefore, you can tone and strengthen all the leg muscles, perform leg abductions, and benefit from a pretty consistent upper body workout as well.
Exercise meter
The Efitment E020 glider elliptical trainer is equipped with a basic exercise meter. It features an LCD display which tracks four workout metrics, these being time elapsed, count (steps per minute), total count (total steps since you start using the machine), and calories burned.
The unit is battery-powered. It requires 2 AAA batteries. It also has a sleep mode to which it will enter after four minutes of inactivity on the machine.
As we’ve mentioned above, the unit does not have a pulse reading function. Its handlebars are not equipped with sensors, and the unit cannot communicate with wireless HR transmitters. Thus, if you want to track your pulse during your workout you will have to use a separate device.
The unit does not have any built-in workout programs. It is very easy to use. It only has one button which allows you to select any of the metrics mentioned above to view on the display. Or, you can select the Scan Mode, which rotates all the metrics showing each one for a few seconds. The button also has a Reset function. You can press and hold it for a few seconds to clear all the values to zero, except the Total Count value. In order to also reset Total Count to zero, you will have to remove the batteries from the unit.
Assembly and Maintenance
The main frame of the unit and the upright pedal bars are already assembled. Therefore, you only have to attach the base bars, the pedals, the handlebars, and the exercise meter. This shouldn’t take more than 40 minutes. The manual provides step-by-step assembly instructions. Also, all the tools for assembly are included.
Once the unit is assembled, maintenance doesn’t require much. It is recommended to periodically check for loose bolts and parts. Also, its joints may require lubrication from time to time.
