The LifePro Swift treadmill is one of the fitness machines released in 2021. It’s a small electric treadmill made for home use. Although it doesn’t have a super powerful motor, it does offer speed levels up to 10 MPH. It also offers a fairly decent weight capacity.

Frame construction

The LifePro Swift treadmill features a steel frame combining rectangular and oval tubes in its construction for improved sturdiness and aesthetics. The machine also integrates several plastic parts; for example, the motor cover, the side rail cover, and the console dashboard are made from a tough thermoplastic material.

As we’ve mentioned above, the LifePro Swift treadmill is a fairly small treadmill. With all the parts assembled and in usage position, it is only approx. 49.6″ (126 cm) long, and 26″ (66 cm) wide. However, you will still have to allow a clearance of at least two feet on each side of the deck and at least three feet at its rear for ease of access and safe usage.

The treadmill is foldable. The deck can be folded and secured in upright position via the release knob available on the left upright frame bar. It does not have a soft drop mechanism, but the deck is not too heavy anyway so you can easily lower it to prevent floor damage. With the deck folded up, the machine’s footprint becomes 21.3″L x 26″W (54 x 66 cm). This feature is pretty useful not only because you can save some space when the treadmill is not in use, it also allows you to clean under the treadmill with ease.

The machine is fairly light compared with other treadmills. Its net weight is only 63.9 lbs (29 kg). The boxed unit may require two people for transport, or at least a box carrier, but once it is assembled, it can easily be moved by only one person; its front base frame integrates a set of small wheels.

Deck construction

The LifePro Swift treadmill offers a rather small walking surface. It is only 39.4″ (100 cm) long, and 15.4″ (39 cm) wide. Therefore, it is not recommended for taller users than 5’4″ (162.5 cm), at least not for running workouts. However, for walking, taller persons should still be able to use this machine without issues.

The machine’s deck is pretty durable; it is rated for a maximum user weight capacity of 286.6 lbs (130 kg) which is not bad for a home use treadmill. It integrates several cushioning elements and the deckboard itself has a bit of flex as well. The rear feet also act as shock absorption elements. Therefore, the machine provides a more comfortable ride than a run or walk on asphalt or concrete.

It’s important to mention that the LifePro Swift treadmill doesn’t have an incline system. However, its deck is slightly inclined. It’s only a few degrees slope, but still, as opposed to a completely horizontal walking platform, it increases the walking difficulty quite a bit. Also, walking or jogging on an inclined platform puts more focus on your glutes.

The unit’s belt is pretty durable. Its top layer is textured in order to provide a better grip. The diameter of the internal rollers is not specified. However, they do integrate high-grade ball bearings for a smooth belt motion. They are also crowned for improved traction.

Motor

The LifePro Swift doesn’t have a super powerful motor. It only offers a power output of 0.75 HP. However, it is still powerful enough to provide speed levels up to 10 MPH. The speed adjustment increments are 0.1 MPH. Thus, you can easily adapt your pace when adjusting the speed of the belt.

The console dashboard features controls for gradual speed adjustment (+ / -). When pressing and holding these controls, the speed adjusts in increments of 0.1 MPH as we’ve already mentioned above. However, there also are controls for quick speed adjustment. These allow you to immediately select a speed belt of 4 MPH, 6 MPH, or 8 MPH.

The motor itself is pretty quiet. It has a decibel rating of 60 dB. However, depending on your running technique, running gear, weight, and other factors, your cadence may generate more or less noise.

Console

The LifePro Swift treadmill is equipped with a pretty standard console. It features an LCD display with blue LED backlight. It tracks time, speed, distance, calories, and pulse. Speed and distance are shown in MPH and miles. This particular treadmill does not have the option for setting them to metric units. The pulse reading function is grip contact only. In other words, to benefit from a pulse reading, you need to hold on to the metallic sensors integrated into the side arms of the machine. The console is not telemetric and cannot track your pulse from a wireless HR chest strap.

The console has 15 pre-set programs. Each program has 10 segments and the default length of each program is 10 minutes. This can be adjusted, though. Also, each program has its segment layout diagram on the console dashboard. Some of these programs have an interval layout, others are great for calorie burning, while others gradually increase then decrease the speed.

The console also offers three workout modes; differently put, these are target programs. Target time is H1, target distance is H2, and target calories is H3. If a target is selected for any of these metrics, the console will count down from the selected value until it reaches zero.

The console has Bluetooth connectivity, but only for its speakers. It is not compatible with any fitness apps like other LifePro fitness machines. It also has two bottle holders, a device (tablet or phone holder), and a USB charging port.

Assembly and Maintenance

The machine’s walking platform with the motor, belt, and the other parts, comes pre-assembled. So, for the assembly, you only need to attach the two wheel brackets, unfold and secure the two upright bars, then attach the console display. This shouldn’t take more than 20-30 minutes of your time. All the necessary tools for the assembly are included and the manual provides clear assembly instructions.

For maintenance, deck lubrication is required. A bottle of silicone oil is provided with the machine and the deck should be lubricated before the first use, and whenever you feel that the belt does not move smoothly. The belt should also be kept clean. Other than this, you should periodically check for loose bolts and parts.
