Dumbbells construction and weight increments
The fixed-weight dumbbells included in this CAP Barbell set are the hexagonal type. Their weight heads are made of cast iron. They’re rubber-coated, aspect that comes with various advantages. First of all, not only that hex dumbbells won’t roll over when placed on the 
floor, they also won’t slide over during exercises such as push-ups, as the rubber actually provides an excellent grip to the floor. Of course, the rubber coating keeps rust away, but also provides a little bit of cushioning for the weights, protecting floors from scratches or nicks.
The weight heads are precision screwed onto the bars, and also pinned and pressed. Therefore, detaching them isn’t exactly an easy task. Due to this fact, the dumbbells offer superior sturdiness. The weights won’t rattle or wobble on their axles during exercises, like certain adjustable dumbbells.
These hex dumbbells feature contoured handles, with a knurled surface and a chrome finish. Evidently, the chrome finish offers rust resistance, while the knurling supplies a secure grip. The knurling surface is far from being sharp, and should not cause any damage to the user’s hands.

It features four sides, two of them meant to hold the dumbbells from 5 to 30 lbs, and the other two, the 35-50 lbs ones. In other words, you’ll have two sides with 6 dumbbells each, and 2 sides with 4 dumbbells each. In case you’re wondering, the rack doesn’t rotate.
The assembly of the rack is far from being difficult. Shouldn’t take more than 15 min. Also, the tools for it are supplied. No other accessories are supplied with this set.
