The Sunny SF-E3626 EZ Stride is the third under desk elliptical released by Sunny Health & Fitness. However, it offers a different range of features than the SF-E3872. It’s actually motorized and can move the pedals automatically which can be quite a plus for users with locomotor disabilities.

Unit construction, parts, and accessories
The Sunny Health & Fitness SF-E3626 EZ Stride under desk elliptical combines ABS and steel parts in
its construction. The internal frame of the unit, the slideways and the internal elements of the pedal are steel made. The drive motor cover and the pedal casings are made of durable ABS material. The slideways and the internal steel frame are coated with a corrosion-resistant paint finish. The color used is light gray, with the ABS parts featuring matching colors.
The EZ Strider elliptical is meant to be used under a desk, while seated on a chair, or on a couch. Therefore, it doesn’t take too much space. It’s even smaller than the SF-E3872, or the Stamina E-1000. It measures 20″ (51 cm) in length and 15″ (38 cm) in width. Also, its maximum height is approx. 10.5″ (26.6 cm). This being said, you should be able to use it under a desk if its top is at least 11″ (28 cm) above your knees.
Although it’s an under desk elliptical which means it’s not meant for use while standing up, it still has a weight capacity of 220 lbs (100 kg). Also, the unit is not extremely heavy; it weighs approx. 21.5 lbs (9.7 kg), and is equipped with a folding handle which offers great portability.
The Sunny SF-E3626 under desk elliptical is equipped with two large pedals, approx. 16″ (40 cm) each. They have a non-slip surface and front guards for superior foot stability. They’re designed to accommodate footwear of all sizes.
The pedals integrate wheels in their rear sections and are attached to the crank arms of the unit at their front. The wheels feature sealed ball bearings for smooth operation and they’re rubberized on the outside to eliminate noise. Also, each pedal slideway has a central groove to provide extra stability for the pedal wheel.
In terms of accessories, this Sunny elliptical trainer comes with a rubberized mat. This not only prevents it from moving in case of a slippery floor, but it also provides a better placement of the unit on an irregular floor and prevents floor damage.
Drive and resistance
The Sunny Health & Fitness EZ Stride SF-E3626 is equipped with a motorized drive system. This 
means it requires an external power source; the machine comes with a power cable and a 2-prong plug. it also means that the unit can adjust the resistance and speed automatically when it is turned on, depending on the selected mode.
There are three speed levels and three resistance levels available. Evidently, since it’s a machine designed to improve circulatory function or recover from certain injury, it’s not made for high-intensity workouts.
The internal transmission is belt-based. This type of transmission comes with several advantages. First of all, you don’t have to take the elliptical apart in order to lubricate it. Second of all, it delivers a very smooth, vibration-free pedaling motion. And third of all, the pedaling motion is almost completely silent.
Like many other under desk ellipticals, the Sunny EZ Stride SF-E3626 doesn’t offer a very ample range of motion. Its stride is 6″ (15 cm) long. The pedaling motion resembles the pedaling on a recumbent exercise bike. Also, since the pedal elevation is always higher at the front, the elliptical path is slightly inclined backward.
The unit’s internal flywheel is bi-directional. This means you can pedal in reverse if you want. Also, the automatic pedaling function can be set to reverse.
Control panel and display features
The Sunny Health & Fitness SF-E3626 EZ Stride Under Desk elliptical trainer features an LED 
display. It only tracks step count, though; it does not show distance traveled, time or calories burned. It also does not have a pulse reading function. The pedometer display increases in increments of 2 for each complete rotation. The display range is 0 to 9999. Also, every time you start the elliptical, the pedometer will start at zero.
The unit is pretty easy to use. It has 6 buttons. The Forward/Backward buttons allow you to change the way you pedal if you want to focus different muscle groups. Manual Exercise button allows you to pedal yourself; when Manual mode is selected, the unit automatically changes the resistance from LO to MI and HI. The Auto Exercise button works in a similar way to the Manual mode, however, it concerns the automatic pedaling. When Auto is selected, the pedals move automatically and the unit changes the pedaling speed between LO, MI, and HI.
The Mode button gives you the possibility to change the workout mode from Active to Moderate, and to Light. Needless to say, the Power Button covers the On/Off function of the unit. And finally, the Resistance button allows you to change the resistance when the machine is not connected to a power source, and you want to pedal without the automatic function.
Another function that we must mention here is the Direction Correction. This renders the elliptical to stop if you pedal in the opposite direction than the selected one. In this case, the display will also show an error code.
Last but not least, this under desk elliptical has a self shut-off function. After 30 minutes of inactivity, the unit turns off automatically, and the pedometer will be reset to zero.
Assembly and Maintenance
Like many other under desk ellipticals, the Sunny EZ Stride comes pre-assembled. You only have to unbox it, place it on the mat if necessary, plug it in, and you’re ready to go.
Maintenance also doesn’t require much. The internal parts do not need any lubrication. So, in terms of maintenance, you only have to keep the unit clean and periodically inspect it for loose or damaged parts.
